Miami condiment company establishes charitable initiative around the idea that giving can begin while a business is still growing.
MIAMI, FL, UNITED STATES, September 21, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — SOSS Bros, the Miami-based sauce company, has launched No Meal Left Behind, a charitable initiative focused on supporting food, water and community-based projects as the company grows.
The initiative developed from a $1,000 contribution made by SOSS Bros toward a water well project in Bougouni, Mali. The contribution came after the condiment company reached its first $1,000 milestone and became the starting point for what the founders intend to develop into an ongoing charitable program.
No Meal Left Behind is based on a simple principle: as SOSS Bros grows, its capacity for charitable activity should grow with it.
“It would have been easy to tell ourselves, ‘We’ll give back when we’re bigger,’” said Hesham Hafez, founder of SOSS Bros. “But there’s always going to be another expense, another bill and another reason to wait. We wanted giving to be part of who we were becoming, not something we added after we became successful.”
The initial contribution was made while SOSS Bros was still in an early stage of development and managing the costs associated with building the business.
Rather than establishing a fixed contribution level, the company plans to expand No Meal Left Behind gradually as resources allow. Future efforts are expected to focus on food, water and community-based projects.
The founders refer to that approach as a “running well,” a model in which charitable activity continues and develops alongside the business.
“Food is community. Water is life,” said co-founder Lance Ahamadian. “We sell something that goes on a meal, so we think about those for whom a meal or reliable water isn’t guaranteed.”
The water well project in Bougouni was selected as the company’s first charitable effort because of the founders’ interest in the connection between food, water and community.
Following that project, the founders decided to formalize the approach through No Meal Left Behind rather than treat the contribution as a one-time effort.
“We’re still building this company, so what we’re able to do today isn’t what we hope to be able to do tomorrow,” said co-founder Karim Hafez. “For us, success shouldn’t only be measured by what comes into SOSS Bros. It should also be measured by what we’re eventually able to send back out.”
No Meal Left Behind will operate as SOSS Bros’ charitable initiative, with projects developing according to the company’s available resources. The company intends to support additional efforts as the program grows.
The initiative also establishes a framework for charitable activity during the company’s growth rather than waiting until the business reaches a predetermined size.
“Someday, we hope SOSS Bros is a much bigger company,” said Hesham Hafez. “If that happens, we want to be able to look back and know we didn’t suddenly discover giving when we could afford it. It was there when the first thousand dollars mattered.”
SOSS Bros plans to announce future No Meal Left Behind projects as they are developed.
