Bridging the Gap: Apogee NOCO Blends Homeschool Flexibility with Private School

Homeschool Burnout is Real – Apogee NOCO: Reimagining Homeschooling for Northern Colorado Families

Loveland, United States – July 10, 2026 / Apogee NOCO /

Northern Colorado — Let’s be completely honest for a second: parenting in 2026 is a wild ride. One minute you’re trying to explain why we don’t eat Lego bricks, and the next you’re staring at a kitchen table covered in curriculum, trying to teach long division while answering work emails. If you’ve ever wondered if you’ve accidentally joined a cult of piecemeal homeschooling just to keep your sanity, you are definitely not alone.

We love our kids. We want them to have a rock-solid biblical worldview, to think for themselves, and to grow into courageous, capable leaders. But trying to do it all alone? That is a fast track to parental burnout.

That is exactly why Apogee NOCO was born. We are a hybrid homeschool academy in Northern Colorado, and we are stepping up to partner directly with you. Think of us as your educational co-creators—bringing back the warmth of community, the support of a private school, and the beautiful freedom of homeschooling, all wrapped into one. Plus, providing Christian based values and morals to help guide your kids in the way you want them to go.

We completely shake up the standard school week with our signature “2-2-2” Hybrid Model:

  • 2 Days In-Person: Your kids gather two days a week for high-impact, collaborative in-person learning led by passionate mentors who actually care about their character. (And yes, parents, this means two glorious days of quiet for you to drink your coffee while it’s actually hot – or get your work done with speed).
  • 2 Days Home-Based: You enjoy flexible, connection-rich learning at home, guided by individualized curriculum. No more guessing games or late-night lesson planning.
  • 2 Spark Friday Excursions: This is where the magic happens. Bi-weekly on Friday’s, we get out of the classroom and into the real world for hands-on excursions, outdoor exploration, and practical skills training.

“We aren’t just running a school; we are building a faith-centered community where young people develop the resilience, critical thinking, and leadership skills necessary to navigate and lead in the real world.” says Summer Hurd, Founder and Program Director of Apogee NOCO. “We are inviting Northern Colorado families to pull up a chair to our kitchen table, step away from broken, one-size-fits-all systems, and co-create a community where children learn to think critically, act courageously, and live with deep purpose.”

This isn’t just a local passion project, either. Apogee NOCO is backed by a massive national engine. Summer is a proud affiliate of the nationwide Apogee Strong network, founded by world-renowned educator Matt Beaudreau. Matt brings over 30 years of educational and school-planting experience to the table, providing Apogee NOCO with world-class curriculum, business support, a national community, and life-changing leadership programs for both teens and adults.

By blending a biblical worldview with STEM, financial literacy, consumer education, and the arts, Apogee NOCO is answering the call of families who refuse to compromise on their values or their children’s future.

If you are ready to trade the homeschooling chaos, or the conveyor belt school system for a warm, exciting, and highly collaborative community, we’d love to welcome you. Applications for the 2026-27 school year are now open.
