WTOP News Names Cvent a Greater Washington D.C. Area Top Workplaces 2026 Winner and CEO & Founder Reggie Aggarwal as First Recipient of Founder’s Honor

Cvent, an industry-leading meetings, events, and hospitality technology provider, has been named a winner of the WTOP News Top Workplaces 2026 award for the Greater Washington area. The honor is based solely on confidential employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage LLC. Winners are selected exclusively on the strength of those responses.

In its inaugural year as the Washington D.C. Top Workplaces media sponsor, WTOP News recognized Cvent CEO and Founder Reggie Aggarwal with its first-ever Founding DC Founder’s Honor. The award recognizes a founder of a Top Workplace who remains an active leader of their organization and whose company delivers significant impact.

Dan Simons — restaurateur, co-founder of Founding Farmers Restaurant Group, and host of WTOP News’ Founding DC podcast — announced the honor during the Top Workplaces Celebration at Capital One Hall on June 18.

“Cvent has been named to the Top Workplaces list 12 times, including this year. Reggie exemplifies how resilience and a deep belief in people can transform the way the world connects,” Simons said in recognizing Aggarwal as the award’s inaugural recipient.

The Energage survey measures the employee experience across proven cultural themes, including whether employees feel Respected & Supported, Enabled to Grow, and Empowered to Execute. For Cvent, this recognition adds to a growing body of independent evidence that the company is delivering on its commitment to its people — a particularly meaningful signal at a time when AI is reshaping workforces around the world, making workplace stability and employee experience more important than ever.

“At Cvent, we’ve always believed that being an industry leader means investing in the people who make you one,” said Reggie Aggarwal, Cvent CEO and Founder. “That means celebrating what makes each person different, giving them real room to grow, and continuously building on our success — together. When our employees affirm that’s the reality, not just an aspiration, that’s something we’re deeply proud of.”
