AttoTude™ Inc., the pioneer of groundbreaking interconnect technology for AI infrastructure that uniquely enables the transmission of electrical signals directly over Dielectric fiber (i.e. ASIC over Dielectric), today announced it has raised $52 million in Series C funding led by The Westly Group. The Westly Group was joined in this funding round by new strategic investors Keysight, Allegis Capital, and DNX, with participation from existing investors including Sutter Hill Ventures, Mayfield, Canaan, and Wing Venture Capital. This latest investment brings AttoTude’s total funding to $143 million.
“This financing marks a pivotal step as we transition AttoTude’s ASIC over Dielectric interconnect technology from transformative innovation to product, with our first product demonstrations coming this fall,” said Dave Welch, CEO and co-founder, AttoTude. “We’re excited to partner with an expanding group of world-class investors as we unlock the immense potential of ASIC-based connectivity over dielectric waveguides to deliver compelling performance and efficiency gains for next-generation AI infrastructure.”
AttoTude is developing a new scale up interconnect category for large AI clusters that delivers reliable, low-power, and high-density connectivity built from ASIC and low-loss dielectric waveguides. Purpose-built around an ASIC over Dielectric architecture, the platform supports per-lane data rates of 200G, 400G, and 800G, enabling electrical connectivity that far surpasses the limits of conventional copper approaches. The solution also bridges a critical AI infrastructure gap by delivering scalable mid-range connectivity without the cost, power, reliability, and complexity penalties associated with optical technologies, while providing a path to support future high-speed interfaces.
“AttoTude is uniquely positioned to deliver innovative interconnect solutions that address critical bottlenecks in the rapidly expanding AI ecosystem,” said Steve Westly, Managing Partner, The Westly Group. “With strong early customer engagement and impressive execution in such a short period, the AttoTude team achieved industry leading performance while enabling reduced energy consumption for modern AI clusters.”
“New interconnect architectures like AttoTude’s ASICs over Dielectrics technology will be critical to enabling higher performance and efficiency as AI infrastructure continues to scale at an unprecedented pace,” said Joachim Peerlings, Vice President and General Manager of the Networks and Data Center Group of Keysight Technologies, Inc. “Keysight, the mission-critical design enablement partner for organizations solving the world’s most complex engineering challenges, looks forward to continuing to collaborate closely with AttoTude to help develop this emerging frequency ecosystem.”
The Series C funding will be used to advance AttoTude’s interconnect technology from early discovery into product development, supporting the build-out of first prototypes and the establishment of a scalable supply chain. The latest investment positions the company to capitalize on a significant market opportunity by accelerating commercialization and readiness for broad deployment with leading hyperscale and AI infrastructure companies.
“AttoTude is executing a remarkably fast transition from breakthrough technology to product development at a time of immense market demand,” said Basil Alwan, Board of Directors, AttoTude. “This progress reflects both the strength of the company’s management team and the support of a high-caliber investor group committed to scaling this category-defining innovation.”
