Kinect Solar Launches Safe Harbor Service Stack to Help Developers Preserve ITC Eligibility Ahead of July 4, 2026 Deadline

AUSTIN, TX / ACCESS Newswire / May 12, 2026 / Kinect Solar LLC, a solar managed services solutions provider, today announced its Safe Harbor Service Stack, a turnkey offering designed to help solar developers establish Beginning of Construction by the July 4, 2026 safe-harbor deadline and preserve Investment Tax Credit eligibility.

The service combines Treasury-aligned purchase structuring, immediate title transfer, long-term storage and scheduled delivery. It is designed to bridge the gap between buy-now requirements and build-later timelines so more projects can move forward with ITC benefits. The Safe Harbor Service Stack is available through July 4, 2026 for sub-1.5 MWac solar projects and portfolios. Domestic content panel options are also available to support projects pursuing the domestic content bonus credit.

“Developers are under pressure to lock in qualifying purchases before the safe-harbor deadline-without derailing project schedules,” said Matthew Saunders, president of Kinect Solar Inventory. “We built the Safe Harbor Service Stack to simplify compliance with clear documentation, immediate title transfer and flexible storage and delivery options so teams can keep moving from procurement to construction with confidence.”

Projects that establish Beginning of Construction by July 4, 2026 generally have a four-year window to be placed in service while preserving ITC eligibility, including eligibility for the domestic content bonus credit when applicable. Projects that do not establish Beginning of Construction by that date may need to be placed in service by the end of 2027 to remain eligible.

On projects up to 1.5 MWac, ITC value can reach hundreds of thousands of dollars, and more when projects qualify for bonus credits such as the 10% domestic content adder.

While larger projects may be subject to different requirements, solar projects up to 1.5 MWac can generally establish a construction start date by incurring at least 5% of total project cost, often by purchasing qualifying equipment.

Kinect Solar’s Safe Harbor Service Stack is designed to help developers meet the 5% requirement quickly while aligning procurement, storage and delivery with project schedules. Services include:

  • Payment terms structured to align with applicable Treasury guidance

  • Immediate transfer of title and documentation package for buyers

  • Multiple years of storage

  • Nationwide warehouse location selection

  • Balance of equipment beyond the initial safe-harbor purchase

  • Access to domestic-content equipment options

Developers of larger projects seeking to take advantage of current pricing, tariffs and Foreign Entity of Concern conditions may also benefit from the Safe Harbor Service Stack. To learn more or request a consultation, contact Kinect Solar at sales@kinectsolar.com.
